TOP GUN
(Orange Stake)
ANY bow, ANY sights.
Release or fingers.

TRADITIONAL
(Yellow Stake)
Longbow or recurve, NO sights
or stabilizers. Fingers ONLY.

CROSSBOW DIVISION
(Orange Stake)
ANY sights, One class.

WOMEN'S DIVISION
(Green Stake)
ANY bow, ANY sights.
Release or fingers.

BOW HUNTER OPEN
(Green Stake)
ANY bow, ANY sights.
Release.

YOUTH (Ages 11 - 15)
COMPOUND -Yellow Stake TRADITIONAL - Red Stake

BOW HUNTER FINGERS
(Green Stake)
Bare fingers, glove, or
fingertabs only.

CUB (Ages 10 & UNDER)
ANY bow, with or without sights.
Release or fingers.

ARROWS: Must weigh no less than 5 grains / # of peak bow weight.
(example: 50# BOW x 5 GRAINS = 250 GRAIN MINIMUM ARROW WEIGHT)

SIGHTS: Any mechanical sight may be used.  Electronic sights of any kind - range finding & floating aimpoint - are forbidden.

BOW HUNTER - FINGERS: Bare fingers, glove, or fingertabs only.

RELEASE: Any hand-held mechanical trigger device may be used.
The new “Bowlock" is strictly forbidden, as this creates a vertical crossbow, unless you shoot in the crossbow class.


BINOCULARS: May be used only BEFORE your turn at the stake in order to reduce congestion on the course. BE CONSIDERATE.

BREACHES IN EQUIPMENT OR POLICIES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION

Rules

  1. No alcohol or drugs prior to or during shoot.
  2. No shots at anything other than designated target. 3. No littering on Club property.
  3. No littering on Club property
  4. No pets allowed on course
  5. Stay on designated trails – No backtracking
  6. Do not alter course
  7. No rangefinders or cameras allowed on course.
  8. Do not discuss distances
  9. Each group will consist of 3 to 5 shooters. Minimum of one adult per group.
  10. Any part of the shooter's body must touch the stake.
  11. 2 MINUTE SHOOT RULE: Please allow faster groups to go through. Good sportsmanship & courtesy appreciated.
  12. Three minutes to look for lost arrow.
  13. No archer shall advance to the target and return to the stake to shoot for any reason.
  14. Arrows must be in the target to score. Bounce-outs and glance-offs shall not score. In the event of a witnessed pass-thru. shot will be scored as judged by the scorekeeper. In no case may an arrow be reshot.
  15. An archer leaving the range to use the restrooms may return to his/her group to complete the round. Ask your group to wait.
  16. In the case of equipment failure, the archer will have 45 minutes to make repairs. If necessary, the round may be completed in the presence of a Host Club Member. Equipment failure may not happen more than once.
  17. Any archer who shoots more than one arrow at a target shall lose their score for that target. The archer may be disqualified for this breach of rules
  18. An arrow dropped when transferring from the quiver, or during a letdown, or in preparation for shooting, may be shot. Any arrow leaving the bow with any energy will be considered a shot and  scored as such. An arrow to be reshot must be within reaching distance of the stake.
  19. Guests are not allowed on the course without permission of the Host Club
  20. There will be no practicing on the range, nor will any participant be allowed on the range prior to or following the day's competition. This does not apply to the set-up crew. Anyone wishing to participate in a set-up crew may contact the Club through the phone numbers herein.
  21. Ties will be broken by a shot-off. Archers must be present for the shoot-off at the next shoot AT THAT CLUB. If only one shooter shows, he wins by default. Method of shoot-off is at the Club's discretion.
  22. Scoring will be 10 - 8 - 5. 10's will be scored as an "X".
  23. Clubs are not responsible for loss or damage to any individual's equipment
  24. Each score card must be signed by two shooters.
  25. Color of stakes are as follows:
        ORANGE:       Top Gun & Crossbow
        GREEN:          Bowhunter Classes & Women's
        YELLOW:       Traditional & Youth Compound
        RED:                Cubs & Youth Traditional
    Each shooter is responsible for shooting the proper stake. Shooting the wrong stake will result in a zero score. Clubs reserve the right to open additional classes.
  1. DISTANCE REGULATION: 50 yards maximum for any target.
  2. No metal detectors allowed on course.
